One of my favorite classes at UIC was CI 450 Literacy & Society taught by Dr. James R. Gavelek, Associate Professor of Curriculum and Instruction. Our final assignment was to write a position paper about our concept of teaching. The format of my paper is inspired by a film called Soundtrack for a Revolution which is about the songs that influenced the Civil Rights Movement.
